SHIRINI e ZABAN

"Puff Pastry"

2 lbs (907 g) Puff Pastry Dough puff pastry dough
3 Tbsp Honey Sugar PREPARATIONS: 1- None. DIRECTIONS: 1- Spread the dough on a well floured work surface. 2- Mix 3 tbsp of honey with 2 tbsp water, stir well. 3- Apply the honey mixture on the flatten dough. 4- Cut out the dough in any shape you'd prefer. 5- Place the zabans in a well floured pastry pan. 6- Make a half way cut in the center of each zaban. 7- Sprinkle sugar over zabans. 8- Preheat oven to 400º f (204º c), bake the cookies for 7 to 10 minutes (until it doubles in height). 9- Turn the oven to 350º f (176º c) and continue baking for 20 to 25 more minutes (until golden). 10- Remove the zabans from the oven. 11- Apply more of the honey mixture. and enjoy.
