
ROAST BEEF
3.3 lb (1.5 kg) Boneless Cross Rib Roast
2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
5 Garlic Cloves
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp Paprika
Salt
1 Cup Mushroom Sauce (optional)
PREPARATIONS:
1- Tie the beef with cooking string (if not already).
DIRECTIONS:
1- Poke 5 holes (4 to 5 inch deep) into the beef and fill each hole with a garlic clove.
2- Poke 5 more holes and fill each hole with black pepper as preferred.
3- Sprinkle the beef with salt (as much as you'd prefer).
4- Take a small container or a bowl, combine mayonnaise, olive oil, ground black pepper, paprika, and stir thoroughly until well mixed.
5- Rub the mixture all over the roast beef evenly.
6- Place the roast beef on a roasting pan with a grill rack.
7- Cover the pan with a aluminum foil.
8- Preheat oven to 350º F (176º C), Cook the roast beef for an hour.
9- Poke some holes into the aluminum foil so the steam can scape, lower the heat to 300º F (149º C). Continue cooking the roast beef for 45 more minutes.
10- For a medium roast beef, cook until the internal temperature reaches 160º F (71º C).
11- Remove the roast for the oven, and cut as preferred.
12- Add mushroom sauce if preferred.
