JELLY DOUGHNUT
1 1/2 All-Purpose Flour 1 Cup Jam (any jam) 1/2 Cup Milk 1 Egg 1/4 oz (7g) Instant Yeast 1 Tbsp Sugar 1/2 Tsp Salt 1 Tbsp Unsalted Butter 1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg Vegetable Oil Preparations: 1- Melt the butter and allow to cool down before mixing. Directions: 1- Combine flour, salt, instant yeast, and sugar in a large bowl. 2- In a separate bowl, beat an egg until stiff. 3- Stir in milk, butter, ground nutmeg, while whisking. 4- Gradually, Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, stirring. 5- Knead the batter for few minutes until well mixed. 6- Grease the batter with vegetable oil, cover with plastic wrap. 7- Rest the batter in a warm place for 2 hours to rise. 8- Roll out the batter on a well floured working surface to half inch thick. 9- Cut the batter with cookie cutter. 10- In a small pot, bring vegetable oil to 350º F (177º C). 11- Deep fry the doughnuts on both side. 12- Place the fried doughnuts over a napkin to absorb the excessive oil. 13- Roll the doughnuts in sugars to cover the surface. 14- Fill up a pastry bag with the jam. 15- Insert the pastry bag tip into the side of each doughnut and pipe until filled up.
