1 Beef Tongue (Approximately 3 lbs - 1360 Grams) 4 Garlic Cloves 1 Large Onion 4 Bay Leaves Black Pepper, Salt, Turmeric PREPARATIONS: 1- Soak beef tongue for 2 to 3 hours and drain in a colander. 2- Cut the onion in half. 2- Boil 6 cups of water. DIRECTIONS: 1- Place the beef tongue in a large pan. 2- Pour in boiling water until it covers the tongue. 3- Simmer slowly over low heat. Add more boiling water if needed and skim off the meat foam. 4- Add the garlic cloves, onion and 4 bay leaves to the pot and add more boiling water until it covers the beef tongue. 5- Cover the pot with a lid and continue to cook for 90 minutes (half cooked). 6- Remove the beef tongue from the pan. 7- (Be careful IT'S HOT) Peel the skin off of the tongue. 8- Slice the tongue. 9- Return the sliced tongue to the pan. 10- Add black pepper, salt and turmeric. 11- Cover the pot with the lid. 12- Simmer for 90 minutes over low heat (until well cooked), Add more boiling water if needed.
