MACARONI

"Persian Style Spaghetti"

17.6 oz (500g) Spaghetti 10 oz (283g) Ground Beef 2 Potatoes 1 Small Onion 3 Tbsp Tomato Paste 1 Tsp Vegetable Oil 2 Tbsp Oil 1/2 Bell Pepper Advieh (Persian Spice Mix) Stew Seasoning, ADvieh Khoresht Salt, Turmeric, Ground Chili Pepper PREPARATIONS: 1- Dice the onion. 2- Dice the bell pepper. 3- Slice the potatoes. DIRECTIONS: 1- Pour in few cups of boiling water to a large pot. 2- Add 3 tbsp salt, 1 tsp vegetable oil and turmeric to the pot. 3- Transfer the spaghetti to the pot. 4- Over medium heat, simmer the spaghetti for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. 5- Drain the spaghetti and rinse with cold water. 6- Fry diced onions with 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a pot until translucent. 7- Stir in the diced bell pepper. 8- Add Advieh (Persian spice mix) and ground chili pepper. 9- Add ground beef and stir until well combined. 10- Continue heating for 10 minutes or until the beef turns brown. 11- Stir in tomato paste and continue the heat for few more minutes. 12- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and stir. 13- Take a large pot, transfer the excessive oil from the ground beef to the pot and spread across the surface. 14- Lay the sliced potatoes to cover the pot surface. 15- Add a pinch of salt. 16- Combine the spaghetti and beef mixture in layers and mix well. 17- Cover the pot with a napkin and a lid. 18- Start with medium heat for about 10 minutes, then lower the heat to low and continue the heat for 25 more minutes.
