(Nut Roll)
1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour (Approx. 6.7 oz / 190g) 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter 1/3 Cup Milk 1 1/2 Tbsp Milk 1 Large Egg 1 Tsp Sugar 1/4 Tsp Salt 1 Tsp Yeast 1/2 Cup (2 oz / 57g) Walnuts 2 Tbsp Honey Vegetable Oil Chocolate Chips PREPARATIONS: 1- Separate egg yolk and white. 2- Grind the walnuts. DIRECTIONS: DOUGH 1- Combine flour and yeast in a bowl. 2- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan. 3- Stir in 1/3 cup milk, sugar and salt and over medium-low heat, warm up the mixture to 110º to 120º F (43º to 49º C). 4- Add the mixture along with the egg yolk to the flour. 5- Stir and knead the dough for about 7 minutes. 6- The dough should look like the dough in the video. Add more milk or flour if needed. 7- Place the dough in a greased (vegetable oil) container. 8- Cover with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise for 90 minutes. FILLING 9- Combine ground walnuts, honey, 1 1/2 tbsp milk, and 2 tbsp melted butter in a bowl. 10- Beat the egg white until stiff and add to the mixture. Stir/fold the mixture until well mixed. 11- Roll out the dough on floured working surface to a thin square. 12- Spread the filling over the dough. 13- Add chocolate chips over the filling as mush as you'd prefer. 14- Roll the dough and trim the edges. 15- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and rest it for an hour. 16- Grease a cookie pan with vegetable oil. 17- Transfer the dough to the cookie pan. 18- Preheat oven to 325º F (163º C), bake the dough for 40 minutes. 19- Remove the roll from oven, glaze with butter.
