MINT SYRUP

"Sharbat e Sekanjebin"

2 Cup Sugar 1/2 Bunch Mint 3 Tsp White Vinegar Green Food Color PREPARATIONS: 1- Boil 1 cup of water. DIRECTIONS: 1- Mix 2 cups of sugar with 1 cup of boiling water in a pot. 2- Boil over medium heat until thickened or until it resembles syrup. 3- Add 1/2 bunch of mint to the pot and continue boiling for 15 minutes. 4- Add 3 tsp white vinegar to the pot, stir and continue boiling for few more minutes. 5- Leave the pot at room temperature to cool down. 6- Remove the mint from the pot. 7- Filter the syrup. 8- Add food color (as preferred) to the syrup and mix thoroughly. Mint syrup can be consumed as a cold drink with water and lemon added.
