HOME REMEDY FOR FLU

LEMON lemon For years my grandmother's remedy to cure flu was the lemon, and so it was the remedy for most of other diseases. And i know now that she was not that far from the real remedy. For the past few years I have tried taking advices from friends, relatives and coworkers on how to fight flu or even prevent it ahead. Though they varied, they all have one thing in common, The Lemon.

   BUT NOT ALONE
Lemon alone could help you beat the flu. It contains high amount of vitamin C, the exact thing that your immune system craves for, especially when sick. Lemon will boost your immune system and help you fight the flu harder. Some even suggest to drink a lemon juice every morning to boost the immune system and to clear the skin. Yup, "clear the skin", it also decreases wrinkles and clears the skin. Lemon is a flu fighter, but to use its flu fighting power to the most, you'll need another secret weapon.

GINGER ginger Almost every culture uses ginger as a folk medicine. Its usage varies, but just a quick research shows that most of its use is to treat cold and those not, also treats symptoms that can be found in flu and common cold. In china ginger is used to treat cold, so does in India but in other parts of the world ginger is used to treat headache, sore throat, nose and throat congestion, nausea and more, all of the above are the flu characteristic.

HOT WATER Now how to glue these two awesome remedies together? the good old boiling water. Squeeze a lemon in a cup and chop an inch or two of fresh ginger, pour in the steaming hot water, and wait until it cools down.

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE green tea while you're at it, add the magic potion, the green tea. Green tea is full of antioxidants, cancer fighting agents and an immune system booster. Green tea has strong anti-viral and anti-bacterial agents.

THAT'S IT! Basically make a nice and hot green tea, add fresh ginger, squeeze a fresh lemon on top, and drink up. Drink it with a full stomach, as both ginger and lemon may give you heart burn while cleaning your stomach for you. You'll feel hungry an hour later as if you've never eaten before.
