
LEEK GARNISH
YOU'LL NEED: Leek Paring Knife scissor Cold Water HOW TO GARNISH A LEEK: An easy way to make your dish more pleasant with garnished leek. Wash the leek thoroughly. Cut off the root from the leek and cut 4 inches of the white part of it. Mark the outer layer in 6 equal parts and cut the layer 2/3 lengthwise (leave the top part intact). Using a scissor, cut the tip of the layer v shape as show in the video. Repeat this process for five more layer. (Note: each cut should position at the center of its outer layer) Shorten an inch off the center remaining layer and make few crosscuts half way. Fill a bowl with cold water and soak the leek for few hours. For best result, keep it overnight in refrigerator.
