1 1/4 Cup All Purpose Flour 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter 3/4 Cup Cream Cheese (6 oz / 170g) 1/8 Cup Sugar 1/3 Cup Sugar 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar (Confectioners) 1/4 Cup Sour Cream 2 Egg 1 Tbsp Milk 1 Tsp Instant Yeast 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract 1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract Salt PREPARATIONS: 1- Melt the unsalted butter. DIRECTIONS: BATTER 1- In a large bowl, combine 1/8 cup sugar, 1/8 cup of warm water, yeast, melted butter, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 egg and sour cream. 2- Stir in the flour while whisking and knead until combined. (do not over knead) 3- Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap of a lid. 4- Keep the batter in refrigerator for at least 3 hours. FILLING 5- In a separate bowl, Beat one egg. 6- Stir in 1/3 cup of sugar, a pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract and cream cheese and whisk until well combined. 7- Remove the batter from refrigerator. Roll out the batter in a rectangle shape on a parchment paper. 8- Cut in 1/3 of the batter as shown in the video and remove the corners. 9- Transfer the batter with parchment paper to a cookie pan. 10- Pour the filling in the middle and wrap the batter around it. 11- Cover the batter with plastic wrap and allow to sit for 30 minutes. 12- Preheat oven to 375º F (190º C), bake the batter for 35 minutes. TOPPING 13- In a container, combine powdered sugar, 1/4 Tsp vanilla extract and a tbsp of milk and stir until mixed thoroughly. 14- Remove the danish muffin from oven and garnish with the powder sugar and milk mixture.
