PASKA BREAD
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour 1/2 Cup Milk 4 oz (113g) Unsalted Butter 1/3 Cup Raisins 1/4 Cup Sugar 1 Egg 1 Tsp Instant Yeast 1/4 Tsp Cardamom Powder 1 Tsp Salt 2 Tsp Vegetable Oil PREPARATIONS: None. DIRECTIONS: 1- Warm the milk to 120º F (49º C) in a saucepan. 2- Stir in instant yeast and sugar. 3- Soften the butter. Add the milk mixture and fold until well mixed. 4- While whisking, add an egg and continue whisking for few minutes. 5- Whisk in cardamom powder. 6- In a separate container, combine flour and salt. 7- Gradually, whisk in the flour and raisins. (add more flour if needed) 8- Knead the dough for 10 minutes. 9- Transfer the dough to a greased (with vegetable oil) bowl. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap. 10- Rest the dough for 2 hours to rise. 11- Transfer the risen dough to a greased bakeware. 12- Preheat oven to 355º F (179º C), bake the paska for 40 minutes.
