BREADSTICKS
1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour 1 1/4 Tsp Yeast 1 Tbsp honey 3 Tbsp Olive oil 1 Tsp Basil 1/2 Tsp Salt 1 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese 1 Garlic Clove PREPARATIONS: 1- 1- Heat 2/3 cup of water to 105 to 115º F (40º to 46º C). DIRECTIONS: 1-Combine the yeast and honey with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a bowl. 2- Add the 2/3 cup of heated water (105º to 115º F/ 40º to 46º C), mix well. 3- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature. 4- Add 1 tbsp crushed dried basil and 1/2 tsp of salt to the bowl. 5- Add the flour to the bowl, add more flour if the dough is too sticky, knead for 10 minutes. 6- Divide the dough in 8 small balls. 7- Roll each ball to make an approximate one inch bar and place them in a well floured bakeware. 8- cover the bakeware with a cloth and let the dough rise until double (about 40 minutes). 9- In a small bowl, mix 1 to 2 tbsp of olive oil, parmesan cheese and a mashed garlic clove, stirring. 10- Brush each dough stick with the olive/garlic mixture. 11- Preheat oven to 350º F (177º C), bake the breadstick 18 to 22 minutes.
