FLAN
1 Can Evaporated Milk (12 oz / 340g) 1 Can Condensed Milk (14 oz / 397g) 3 Eggs 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract 1/2 Lime (Zest) 1/2 Cup Sugar salt PREPARATIONS: 1- Zest half of the lime. DIRECTIONS: 1- Over medium-low heat, melt the sugar in a saucepan. 2- Transfer the melted sugar to a small nonstick (glass) bakeware. 3- Allow the sugar to cool down and becomes solid. 4- Meanwhile, Whisk 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk together. 5- Whisk in vanilla extract, pinch of salt, lime zest, condensed milk and evaporated milk. 6- Pour the mixture over the sugar. 7- Place the bakeware in a larger bakeware. 8- Fill up the larger bakeware half way with boiling water. 9- Preheat oven to 350º F (177º C), bake the flan for 40 to 45 minutes. 10- Remove the flan and allow to cool down. 11- Keep the flan in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. 12- Using a sharp knife, Separate the flan from the bakeware. 13- Flip the flan over out to a dish and serve cold.
